Bronze Package

The bronze program package is designed to educate and support club coaches across all age groups. The program is formulated to equip club coaches with a greater understanding of how to teach both the key skills and higher level playing techniques of rugby league through our LERLA face-to-face coach development sessions.

Additionally, for the duration of the playing season, club coaches will be externally supported through an online platform (Facebook) where coaches can access training templates, drill diagrams and supported information and assistance from the LERLA team.

HOw this will work

Coach development sessions

The bronze program will be delivered via 1 x face-to-face coach development session with Tim Browne across junior or intermod age groups. Relevant age group coaches and a limited number of club players will be required to attend these sessions.

The face-to-face coach development sessions will give coaches the opportunity to gain hands-on experience teaching the LERLA created training models to club players.

These training models will consist of drills that coaches can implement into their weekly training sessions. The drills are designed to develop player skills consistent with the modern game of Rugby League and will progress through the age groups to create consistent player capabilities across the playing groups.

Bronze Package inclusions:

1 x club visit - delivery of training template
Club selection of focus age groups for the program (Junior - U6’s to U10’s OR Intermods - U11’s to U18’s)
Coach access to the online platform for the duration of the season

Any LERLA program package can be modified with optional program add-ons.

LERLA Program Recommendations:

It is strongly recommended that your club has a coaching co-ordinator in place to facilitate the arrangement of club coaches and players for face-to face training days, and to provide ongoing communication with LERLA.
